Roxanne Achong-Coan OD, FAAO, FIAOMC, FSLS, FBCLA

Dr. Achong-Coan graduate of the New England College of Optometry and completed her contact lens residency at Pacific University College of Optometry (PUCO). She serves on the advisory boards for the Gas Permeable Lens Institute and Modern Optometry where she contributes to articles and publications. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, the Scleral Lens Society, the International Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, and the British Contact Lens Association. She is a Diplomate in the AAO Section on Cornea, Contact Lens, and Refractive Technologies.

Dr. Achong-Coan has received numerous accolades in her career. As a resident, she was awarded the John Asarkof, O.D. award for best contact lens resident publication. Other awards include being Contact Lens Innovator of the Year by Vision Monday, Best Practices by CooperVision, Best Clinical Research Poster at the Global Specialty Lens Symposium, and one of the top 250 Doctors in Primary Care Optometric News. In 2023, she was voted one of the

top 100 doctors in the USA by Newsweek and was also a recipient of the 2023 Contact Lens Institute Culture Awards.

Dr. Achong-Coan practices with two other optometrists, one of whom is her husband, Dr. Mark Coan, and is in one of the largest optometric practices in central Florida. Her scope of practice includes specialty contact lenses, myopia management for children, dry eye therapies, and primary care. She lectures on contact lenses and is a key opinion leader for CooperVision.
