Katherine K. Weise OD, MBA, FAAO

Dr. Katherine K. Weise, OD, MBA, FAAO, is a highly accomplished professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry. With a passion for pediatric optometry and groundbreaking research, she directs the UAB Pediatric Optometry Service, providing compassionate eye care for over 28 years. Dr. Weise's impactful contributions extend to her co-chair role in the NIH-funded Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group and as a committee member on the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics, Focus on Myopia. She is also the director of the mTBEye Concussion Clinic and a driving force behind BlazerVision, a collaborative effort supporting UAB Division I athletes. Recognized with prestigious awards, including the UAB President's Award for Excellence in Teaching, Dr. Weise is a leader and innovator in the field of optometry.
