Jonathan King OD

Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Jonathan King attended the University of Iowa where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Human Physiology. Following graduation, he moved to Indiana to attend the Indiana University School of Optometry graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2021. Dr. King then completed his cornea and contact lens residency in July 2022 at IUSO.

While at IUSO, he served in various leadership capacities including President of the Indiana University chapter of the American Optometric Student Association and Vice-President for the Indiana University chapter of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. He also received the Dr. Henry Hofstetter Scholarship Award, the John P. Davey & Roy E. Denny Memorial Award, and the GP Contact Lens Clinical Excellence Award.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association. Additionally, he is currently working on a Business Management Certificate in the Business of Eye Care through the Kelley School of Business, Fellowships through the FSLS and AAO, and Board-Certified status through the American Board of Optometry.

Dr. King is proficient in disease management, the fitting of specialty contact lenses, and patient management where he has provided care to patients ages 5 to 101 as well as he is especially interested in dry eye disease and myopia control.
