Dr. Heather Webster, a 2006 graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis(UMSL) College of Optometry, is a distinguished optometrist known for her exceptional contributions. Starting her journey in optometry with a passion for a medical profession, Dr. Webster found her calling during a role as an optician. Choosing UMSL for its location and intimate class size, reminiscent of her rural upbringing, she built lifelong connections and valued her small, close-knit class. Since graduation, Dr. Webster has become a trailblazer in private practice, specializing in patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Her dedication to helping TBI patients regain normalcy showcases the transformative impact optometry can have on lives. Active in professional leadership, Dr. Webster served as both vice-president and president of the Central Missouri Optometric Society. As a mentor, she takes pride in guiding aspiring optometrists, influencing them to help them find their place in the optometry community.
