Daniel G. Fuller, OD, FAAO Dipl., FSLS, spent 17 years in private practice as owner of a multi-site, solo practice emphasizing medical eye and specialty contact lens services. His career in academia began in 1987. He is a professor, chief of the Cornea Contact Lens Service, and founding supervisor of the Cornea Contact Lens Refractive Surgery residency at The Eye Center, Southern College of Optometry. He lectures nationally, has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and posters, and performs original clinical research.

He is a diplomate of the Cornea Contact Lenses and Refractive Technologies section of the American Academy of Optometry; a fellow and current vice president of the Scleral Lens Education Society; and an advisory board member of the Gas Permeable Lens Institute and recipient of its inaugural Educator of the Year Award. Additionally, he has held multiple chairs of leadership serving local, state, and national organizations.
