April Jasper OD, FAAO

Dr. April Jasper is owner of Advanced Eyecare Specialists in West Palm Beach. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), Chair of the Corporate Relations Committee, President of the Florida Optometric Association (2016-2017), and member of the American Optometric Association (AOA). Dr. Jasper has completed over 200 speaking events around the U.S. and has presented at the annual meetings of the AAO, AOA, and Vision Expo West and East, SECO, GWCO, as well as part of the Practices of Distinction Tour. She is a consultant for many organizations, serves on several advisory boards, and is on the Scientific Advisory Board for Eyenovia. Dr. Jasper is currently Chief Optometric Editor of Optometric Management Magazine, was Professional Co-editor of Women in Optometry magazine, as well as a contributor to several other publications with more than 50 publications to her credit. In 2015–2016, Dr. Jasper served as Benedict Professor in Practice Management at Houston College of Optometry where students were able to take advantage of her more than 20 years of experience as a leader in her business and profession. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, later completing a residency at Brockton/West Roxbury VAMC in Boston and an externship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.
