Anita Gulmiri OD
Anita Gulmiri completed her optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and then followed her passion to pursue a residency in Cornea and Contact lenses. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Optometry at NECO, contact lens service director at Boston Medical Center, and director of NECO's Cornea/Contact lens residency program. Her clinical expertise includes myopia control management with orthokeratology, soft multi-zone designs as well as managing advanced anterior segment disease with specialty contact lens designs for the treatment of irregular corneal conditions such as keratoconus, post- surgical cornea, aphakia, and severe cases of ocular surface disease.
She is an attending clinical preceptor for second, third and fourth year NECO students as well as the cornea/contact lens residents. She coordinates contact lens workshops for the students, residents and faculty and is an instructor to second year optometry students enrolled in the contact lens curriculum.
